Unknown documents, natural discoveries, plans, and most importantly, model cooperation. Researchers from UPWr and the Technical University of Dresden, together with stakeholders and external experts, have developed an integrated concept for protecting and managing the landscape of the Pełcznica Valley under Książ Castle in Wałbrzych. The project, which lasted over four years, was financed by the German Federal Environmental Foundation.

The "Modern Didactics Laboratory ROOM 2.21" and the "Chill &S study Greenhouse " a shared space for learning and relaxation at the Biskupin Campus, emerged as the winning projects in the third edition of the UPWr Participatory Budget. The former is a staff initiative, while students proposed the latter.

Branches of German concentration camps will be investigated by a Polish-Czech team of scientists from the Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences and the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Dr. Pawel Konczewski will lead the research on part of the UPWr, while the team leader from the Czech Republic is Associate Professor Pavel Vařeka.

As many as 11 research projects by scientists from the UPWr have received funding from the National Science Centre in the PRELUDIUM 20 competition, and seven in OPUS 21. And this is not a full list of our successes in recent competitions by the National Science Centre. Among others, we were also awarded during the last editions of TANGO, BEETHOVEN and MINIATURE 5.
