International cooperation

The staff of the Faculty actively cooperate in solving environmental engineering and protection problems with numerous scientific centres in the world:

  • Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia),
  • Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic),
  • Minzu Univrsity, Beijing (China),

and, within agreements signed by the university and coordinated by other faculties:

  • University of Florida in Gainesville (USA),
  • University of Hawaii at Manoa (USA).

The staff of the Institute of Environmental Engineering, and of the Institute of Environmental Protection and Development cooperate with the universities in Rostock, Dresden, Hannover, Köln, Munich, Wageningen, Prague, Brno, Nitra, Jelgava, Delft, Technical University in Zurich and the Norwegian University of Agriculture in As.

The Institute of Landscape Architecture cooperates with Latvia University of Agriculture in Jelgava, Kyiv State Civil Engineering and Architecture University (Ukraine), Humboldt University in Berlin, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Dresden University of Technology and Kanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (Turkey).

The Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics has very well developed cooperation with two partners in the Czech Republic: The Institute of Rock Structure and Mechanics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague and the Institute of Geodesy of the Brno University of Technology. The staff of the Institute are also engaged in cooperation with partners in Italy (University of Camerino and the Institute of Earth Sciences of the Italian Academy of Sciences in Florence) and Greece (National Seismologic Observatory in Athens). Since the year 2002, the team of the Institute has been conducting satellite GPS measurements in Gargano and Norcia (Italy) and in Kaparelli in the Gulf of Corinth (Greece). The cartographic team of the Institute cooperate with the "Gender and Cartography" Commission of the International Cartographic Association (ICA).

The Department of Agricultural Principles for Environmental Development cooperates with MECCA Environmental Consulting in Vienna to exchange experiences related to integrated agriculture and sustainable development.

The Department of Mathematics cooperates with foreign institutions in Algeria, Belgium, China, France, Japan, Canada, Germany, Norway, Serbia, Montenegro, USA, Turkey and Hungary.

The staff of the Department of Building and Infrastructure cooperate with Latvia University of Technology in Jelgava in the field of building engineering and water and waste management.

The Faculty is member of The European Mining Heritage Network (Europamines).
