On April 15, 2024, a group of master's students in environmental engineering, under the supervision of Dr. Justyna Kubicz and Dr. Daria Marczak, had an extraordinary opportunity to participate in field classes devoted to the geotechnical rehabilitation of devastated areas at the granite mine in Strzelin.

He took part in a discussion on the subject of "What's next for the Polkowice-Sieroszowice mine, the Oder and the Żelazny Most Reservoir?" on February 13, 2024.
On January 11, 2024, second-year students of second-cycle studies in environmental engineering with a specialization in waste management and renewable energy, had a unique opportunity to look at the processes that shape the future of energy based on sustainability and waste-free management principles.

On December 20, 2023, with the defense of her thesis, Daria Marczak, M.Eng. completed successful research on the durability of biodegradable water absorbing geocomposites (BioWAG).
On December 13, 2023, Arkadiusz Szkudlarek, M.Eng. defended an exceptional doctoral dissertation. The dissertation entitled "Ecological mobile turbine using free-flowing water to generate electricity" is a comprehensive study of the project, model and prototype of a kinetic turbine.
We are pleased to announce that on December 13, 2023, Krzysztof Wolski, M.Eng. successfully defended his doctoral thesis entitled “Modeling flow conditions in a shallow river overgrown with plants.”
On September 21-22, 2023, the Economic and Technical School Complex in Rakowice Wielkie, in cooperation with the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, organized a two-day science event entitled "On the trail of knowledge with the University of Environmental and Life Sciences."
