Agnieszka Krawczyk-Łebek from the Department of Food Chemistry and Biocatalysis of the UPWr, together with her scientific supervisors – Prof. Edyta Kostrzewa-Susłow, Dr. Tomasz Janeczko and Dr. Monika Dymarska, has won the main prize in the 12th edition of the Student-Inventor competition. Her series of 38 inventions concerning new flavonoid glycosides with potential antimicrobial activity was recognised in the competition. Academic counselling centres providing psychological counselling operate at many Polish universities. The one at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences has been focusing on supporting students since 2020, following the coronavirus outbrake and lockdown. According to experts, the incidence of mental disorders among students is higher than in the general population.

As many as 11 research projects by scientists from the UPWr have received funding from the National Science Centre in the PRELUDIUM 20 competition, and seven in OPUS 21.
