Young scientists from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences were awarded PLN 1,936,687 in the National Science Centre Preludium 20 competition. We present another five projects covering, among others, airborne laser scanning, research on human mobility, the influence of microorganisms on polyphenolic compounds and changes in Icelandic soil.

The Green Arteries of Wrocław, carried out by the city of Wrocław, is a design project by Agata Wałek, a graduate of landscape architecture at the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences. Professor Monika Ziemiańska, in turn, is responsible for providing substantive support to the city authorities on this project.

Projects of Dr. Karolina Bierowiec, Dr. Agata Mikołajczyk-Martinez, and Prof. Tomasz Hadaś have been awarded in the 13th edition of the National Centre for Research and Development competition, as part of the LIDER programme. The UPWr scientists are to receive nearly PLN 4.5 million for their research.
