Fungi from UPWr already in space. If they survive, larger organisms will be sent into orbit 04-03-2022

The first Polish bio-nanosatellite is already in space. On 28 January, SatRevolution announced that at 10:24 am a contact was established. Scientists from the UPWr have sent common Fusarium culmorum fungi into space. They intend to check how they will cope with the absence of gravity.

Veterinary students at a competition in Edinburgh 27-03-2019

Arek Kaznowski won the first place in the dressage contest in the International Equestrian Competition for Veterinary Students in Edinburgh. The event was organized by the Royal School of Veterinary Studies.

UPWr scientists receive MINIATURA 5 awards 21-12-2021

Five scientists from the Wrocław University of Environmental & Life Sciences were awarded in the MINIATURA 5 competition. They each received nearly PLN 50,000 for research in the field of veterinary medicine, animal science and fishery, as well as food and nutrition technology.

EU GREEN Gains Momentum 27-10-2023

UPWr scientists: royal gardener designed the Książ Castle Gardens 07-02-2024

The Książ Castle Gardens in the 1870s were designed by Eduard Neide, the director of the Royal Gardens Tiergarten in Berlin – this is the latest discovery by UPWr scientists who have been researching the history of this site for several years.

Almost 800,000 PLN from NCBiR for research on lymphomas 18-01-2021

Scientists from UPWr, together with researchers from the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences, obtained the highest score in the competition organized by the National Centre for Research and Development. They also received funding in the amount of nearly 2.5 million PLN, 800 thousand of which will go to UPWr.
