The Książ Castle Gardens in the 1870s were designed by Eduard Neide, the director of the Royal Gardens Tiergarten in Berlin – this is the latest discovery by UPWr scientists who have been researching the history of this site for several years.

Dr. Marta Sylla from the Institute of Spatial Economy will lead the FOODCITYBOOST project on urban agriculture. This European initiative is implemented within the EU's Horizon Europe research and innovation program. Researchers from the Institute of Spatial Economy, the Department of Horticulture, and the Department of Landscape Architecture at Wroclaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences will be conducting the project.

The choir from the Wrocław University of Life and Environment Sciences won two awards at the International Choir Festival held in Lloret de Mar Spain. The choir was recognized with a first place award in the Catalonian song category and came in second in the category titled ‘sacred song’. The festival was held September 11th though the 16th.

1951 saw the formation of the Institute of Foreign Languages, although within just two years it was transformed into the Foreign Language Centre; a cross-faculty unit brought into being at all Polish tertiary institutions through an ordinance by the Minister of Higher Education, on the second of February, 1953.
