Investigating the influence of microplastics on soil and plants
Microplastics are a hot topic in public discussion nowadays. It is widely known that the tons of plastic we use may cause harm to the natural environment. Bhakti Jadhav, an Indian UPWr PhD student wants to check what influence microplastics have on plants and agricultural soil.

Dr. Agnieszka Krawczyk-Łebek from the Department of Food Chemistry and Biocatalysis was awarded the Gold Medal at the 16th International Exhibition of Inventions 'IWIS 2022', while the title of Best Polish Invention was awarded to new flavonoid glycosides with potential antimicrobial activity that she managed to obtain using biotransformation.

NAWA – the National Agency for Academic Exchange, has granted funding under the STER programme for the Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools. The Doctoral School of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences came in third place among 16 institutions, receiving over PLN 2 million in funding.
