The history of the faculty started in post-war Wrocław when, in December 1945, the Department of Reclamation and Agricultural Engineering was created at the Faculty of Agriculture with the Section of Horticulture within the University and Polytechnic the only higher education institution in Wrocław. Wrocław has joined the Milan Urban Food Policy Pact. The commitment to implement urban food systems now brings together 225 cities from around the world. The University of Environmental and Life Sciences, through its scientific, educational, and publicity activities, is supporting the implementation of the pact, which is an expression of concern for the food system of cities and, consequently, the well-being and health of their inhabitants.

For the second time we have awarded diplomas and medals to the best beers taking part in the Good Beer Academy competition. Jury was headed by Rafał Kowalczyk, an international judge who emphasized a high standard of the competition where over 80 beers were evaluated.
