Two scientists from the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław have received over a million zlotys from the Preludium BIS 2 NCN program. These are Prof. Agnieszka Noszczyk-Nowak and Prof. Andrzej Białowiec, the leaders of two Leading Research Teams.

The ECOpicnic, organized by the Student Government of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Technology, is now behind us. The organizers, in collaboration with the Student Governments of the Faculties of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, and the Faculty of Biology and Animal Sciences, created an event full of pro-ecological initiatives that entertained and educated.

Julia Gawron and Radosław Pszonicki participated in the Master Thesis Training workshops organized as part of the Baltic University Programme at Uppsala University. The program provided an excellent opportunity to further consult their work, receive support from experts, and establish contacts with students from across the Baltic Sea region.

NAWA – the National Agency for Academic Exchange, has granted funding under the STER programme for the Internationalisation of Doctoral Schools. The Doctoral School of the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences came in third place among 16 institutions, receiving over PLN 2 million in funding.

Justyn Gach, a doctoral student at the UPWr Doctoral School, under the supervision of Prof. Agnieszka Noszczyk-Nowak is conducting research into the most common heart disease in dogs, namely degenerative mitral valve disease, leading to left ventricular heart failure.
