The Lower Silesian commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the introduction Martial Law began on the 5th of December with a concert in the Wrocław Opera House.

"Books with Wrocław in the Background" is an exhibition presenting profiles of writers traditionally associated with Wrocław and their selected works. The plot of the presented books is set in the capital of Lower Silesia, and in some titles the main character is the city of Wrocław. Among the many wonderful authors were Marek Krajewski and Magda Knedler, from whom we received warm greetings and autographs for our university community.

An exhibition devoted to the works of Agnieszka Osiecka, Wojciech Młynarski and Marek Grechuta – Polish songwriters. Their songs are well-known in Poland, but often associated with the performer, not the author of the text. Phrases taken from their lyrics are often used in colloquial circulation. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marek Furmankiewicz I am a graduate of the University of Wrocław, where I studied geography. I also completed post-graduate studies in "Company management in a market economy" at the University of Economics in Wrocław.
