In December, before the holiday season, students from the Economic and Technical School Complex in Rakowice Wielkie participated in classes organized by employees of the Institute of Environmental Engineering. The class "Macroscopic examination of cohesive soils" was taught by Dr. Justyna Kubicz, and "Modeling of water supply networks" by Dr. Justyna Stańczyk. During a meeting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Pawęska students learned about the ever-present challenges of surface water pollution and participated in a discussion about who an environmental engineer is.
During a meeting between the Vice Principal of the School Complex Monica Citow and the Directors of the Institute of Environmental Engineering an idea to organize a joint two-day Science Event in 2023 with employees representing several university faculties emerged.
The environmental engineering classes were prepared and taught by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Pawęska, Dr. Justyna Kubicz, Dr. Justyna Stańczyk, Sylwia Charazińska, M.Eng., Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paweł Lochyński and doctoral students Kinga Marek, M.Eng. and Szymon Kilian, M.Eng.
