Lucie Pražáková, M.Sc. came to our Institute thanks to the NAWA scholarship program.

Lucie Pražáková, M.Sc. is a first-year PhD student at the Department of Analytical Chemistry of Charles University in Prague. Her arrival was possible due to the long-standing cooperation between Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paweł Lochyński and the Department where Lucie Pražáková, M.Sc. conducts her research.

At the Institute of Environmental Engineering, Lucie Pražáková, M.Sc. participates in the development of electrochemical methods for degrading organic compounds in wastewater. Together with the research team of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Paweł Lochyński she focuses on the development and improvement of BDD electrode-based methods used in water treatment.

We believe that the cooperation will be fruitful and our intern will learn a lot. We also hope that she will apply her knowledge gained from her ongoing research on the specific degradation of abacavir (used in HIV treatment) using BDD electrodes.
