Paweł Lochyński, PhD Eng. from our Institute has received the 2021 “Scientist of the Future” award in the Science for a better life in the future category.

The award was granted in the 6th edition of the "Scientist of the Future" contest for the implementation of the research project entitled "Pioneering model for monitoring contamination of electropolishing process baths (IonsMonit)" and the positive approach to the dissemination of the project results to the public.

The project involves the development of an innovative, multifactorial mathematical model enabling the monitoring of contamination of the bath used in the electropolishing process of austenitic stainless steels. This model will reduce process costs and influence the reduction of environmental pollution during electropolishing of stainless steels.

The "Scientist of the Future" award winners are people who have a unique vision for the future and implement innovative scientific projects that may change our lives in the future.
