On July 5, a meeting of Employees of the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Wroclaw University of Life Sciences was held. The meeting was devoted to three issues. The first issue discussed was the EU GREEN project, the second - the possibility of financing staff trips abroad as part of the "POWER at UPWR - a comprehensive university development program" project, and the third - our participation in the Science Picnic at the Economic and Technical School Complex in Rakowice Wielkie

The EU GREEN project and possible activities within its scope were presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ewa Burszta-Adamiak and Dr. Beata Malczewska. They encouraged the Employees of our Institute to cooperate within the WP3 action area fully named "Creating a research-based science structure through clusters of excellence", whose coordinator at the University is, among others, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ewa Burszta-Adamiak. The main goal is to create a common strategy for sustainable development research, support for interdisciplinary research and international research projects.

The second issue of great importance to the Institute's Employees was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Katarzyna Pawęska. Business trips abroad are very important for any scientist. They enable both personal development and the expansion of cooperation between universities. Thanks to the project "POWER at UPWR - a comprehensive university development program", opportunities for short-term internships and study visits to foreign scientific units have expanded.

The last issue to be addressed was the Science Picnic to be held in September at the Economic and Technical School Complex in Rakowice Wielkie. We wondered how to show the students of this school what we teach and what we do at the Institute of Environmental Engineering in an interesting and unconventional way. We hope that among the young people participating in the Picnic will be our future students.
