Konferencja odbyła się pod honorowym patronatem JM Rektora Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu prof. dr hab. Tadeusza Trziszki i Dziekana Wydziału Inżynierii Kształtowania Środowiska i Geodezji prof. dr hab. inż. Bernarda Kontnego a zorganizowana została przez Centrum Modelowania Procesów Hydrologicznych Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu we współpracy z Politechniką Wrocławską, Uniwersytetem Wrocławskim i Towarzystwem Naukowym Inżynierii i Gospodarki Wodnej, w dniu 22 listopada 2019
Po wielomiesięcznych staraniach Pani doktor udało się uruchomić tę instalację. W listopadzie 2019 roku w sali 416 M odbyły się pierwsze szkolenia w zakresie równoważenia hydraulicznego (IMI Hydronic Engineering), pracy pomp (Wilo) oraz projektowania instalacji do wykrywania ponadnormatywnych stężeń gazów (Gazex), w których uczestniczył Dyrektor Instytutu Inżynierii Środowiska Pan dr hab. inż. Mirosław Wiatkowski, prof. UPWr.
Minister Gospodarki Morskiej i Żeglugi Śródlądowej Marek Gróbarczyk powołał dr hab. inż. Mirosława Wiatkowskiego, prof. UPWr na członka Rady Naukowej Instytutu Meteorologii i Gospodarki Wodnej – Państwowego Instytutu Badawczego, na kadencję 2019-2022.
Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju podjęło decyzję o sfinansowaniu projektu pt. „Innowacyjne technologie ograniczenia migracji zasolonych podziemnych do wód powierzchniowych w rejonie OUOW Żelazny Most”. Kierownikiem projektu jest prof. dr hab. inż. Stanisław Czaban, liderem Instytut Inżynierii Środowiska Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu.
Zarządzeniem JM Rektora Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu prof. dr hab. Tadeusza Trziszki z dnia 22 października 2019 roku do struktury Instytutu Inżynierii Środowiska zostało włączone Laboratorium Badań Środowiskowych.
JM Rektor Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu prof. dr hab. Tadeusz Trziszka na wniosek Dyrektora Instytutu Inżynierii Środowiska powołał dr hab. inż. Katarzynę Pawęską, prof. UPWr na zastępcę Dyrektora Instytutu Inżynierii Środowiska. Gratulujemy.
Konkurs pn. „OZE w obiektywie studentów Inżynierii Środowiska” na najładniejszą fotografię z zakresu Odnawialnych Źródeł Energii został ogłoszony w dniu 23 czerwca 2019 r. przez Dyrektora Instytutu Inżynierii Środowiska dr hab. inż. Mirosława Wiatkowskiego, prof. UPWr.
W Cape Town w Republice Południowej Afryki odbyła się 19 International Conference on TRANSPORT AND SEDIMENTATION OD SOLID PARTICLES, cykliczna konferencja, której głównym organizatorem jest Wydział Inżynierii Kształtowania Środowiska i Geodezji wspólnie zawsze z partnerską uczelnią lub jednostka badawczą z kraju, w którym odbywa się konferencja. Nasz Instytut reprezentowali prof. UPWr Tomasz Tymiński oraz dr inż. Maciej Gruszczyński.
23 września 2019 roku w zabytkowym ośrodku edukacyjno-szkoleniowym w Pawłowicach odbyła się uroczystość Jubileuszu pracy prof. zw. dr hab. inż. Janusza Łomotowskiego. Organizatorem spotkania był Instytut Inżynierii Środowiska przy Wydziale Inżynierii Kształtowania Środowiska i Geodezji Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego we Wrocławiu.
Z okazji 20 lat funkcjonowania zbiornika wodnego w dniu 12 września 2019 r. w Mściwojowie odbyło się seminarium zorganizowane przez Wydział Inżynierii Kształtowania Środowiska i Geodezji, Instytut Inżynierii Środowiska oraz Gminę Mściwojów.
